Our previous product lines Private Cloud Platform Pro II, Private Cloud Server Pro II, Private Cloud Platform Starter II and
Private Cloud Server Starter II are being retired and replaced by the new, unified product group Private Cloud Computing.
New structure – simple choice & maximum freedom
The new Private Cloud Computing product line offers two variants from now on:
- Platform – Vienna
- Server – Vienna
They directly replace the previous products:
- Platform – Vienna → replaces the Platform Pro/Starter II products
- Server – Vienna → replaces the Server Pro/Starter II products
New: flexible configuration instead of fixed packages
The previous packages (XS to XXL) make way for more flexibility. From now on you can put together your resources exactly as you need them:
- Computing power and RAM are individually configurable
- Free choice of storage – SSD or NVMe per platform/server *
- Scalable LAN bandwidth – 1 Gbit, 2.5 Gbit, 5 Gbit or 10 Gbit
- Free IPv6 /64 networks – now simply orderable as an add-on
*Please note: mixing SSD and NVMe within one product is not possible, but different systems can be booked in parallel (for example a small server with NVMe and a larger platform with SSD). Platforms can be networked with each other as before.
Proven infrastructure – improved security
- Platforms can still be networked with each other
- Existing platforms and servers keep their current configuration.
- The availability and quality of the network infrastructure remains at the usual high level
- The backup system has been modernized – all backups are now replicated to two sites automatically
A technology lead through Ceph & high availability on modern enterprise technology
All of our storage – whether SSD or NVMe – is provided through a highly available, scalable Ceph cluster. This gives you:
- High redundancy and data availability
- Flexible scalability of storage
- Enterprise-level performance
All virtual machines (VMs) run in an HA setup (high availability). That means:
- In case of a fault, VMs are started automatically on new hardware
- No manual intervention required
- Maximum availability of your services even in the event of hardware problems
This architecture gives you an operational reliability well above the standard of classic hosting offers – and that at no extra charge.
