DNS Hosting
DNS with us – even if your domain is elsewhere
You don’t have to move your domain to use our DNS. For a domain with us, DNS management is included; for domains with another registrar, there is DNS Hosting.
DNS on your domain
Register or transfer your domain to us and DNS management is already included. We create the zone at registration, and you manage the records directly on the domain in the customer area.
DNS Hosting for external domains
Your domain stays with your current registrar, and you manage the DNS zone with us. Point the name servers to us there and manage your records in the customer area – for €1 net per month.

Domains and DNS in brief
How much does an .at domain cost?
An .at domain costs €28 net per year, for both registration and renewal. If you move an existing .at domain to us, the transfer is free. DNS management is included either way.
How do I move my domain to you?
Request the auth code from your current provider and order a domain transfer in the shop. To keep your website and email reachable during the move, it is best to create your DNS records with us beforehand. We are happy to answer questions about the move personally.
Do I need DNS Hosting if I register the domain with you?
No. If you register or transfer the domain to us, DNS management is already included – without a second product and without a separate invoice line. DNS Hosting is meant for domains that stay with another registrar.
How much does DNS Hosting cost?
For a domain you register or transfer to us: nothing – DNS management is included there. You only need DNS Hosting for domains that stay with another registrar; it costs €1 net per month, with no setup fee and cancellable monthly. Pay annually and the year costs eleven monthly prices instead of twelve.
Can I get Let’s Encrypt wildcard certificates via the DNS challenge?
Yes. The DNS API is compatible with the PowerDNS API and works with acme.sh out of the box. You create the key per zone in the customer area – it is valid for that one zone only.
Where is my data stored?
We manage your DNS zone in Austria. The registration itself runs through our registrar partner with the registry of the respective extension – nic.at for .at, the US registry for .com. As with any domain provider, the registrant data goes to the registry.
How do domain, web hosting and email work together?
If the domain is with us, the Managed Webserver sets the DNS record for your website automatically. For email with Managed Zimbra Hosting, you add the MX records in the same zone.
