Objective:
For Miraplast this was not simply about replacing an existing solution but about a clear next step towards future-proof IT.
They were looking for a backup platform that fits seamlessly into the existing infrastructure and is designed specifically for virtual environments. At the same time it had to reduce administrative effort, enable fast restores and use the available storage efficiently.
At its core, the task was to bring data security, efficiency and simple administration into balance.
Solution:
With the Proxmox Backup Server (MPBS) from myDataCenter.at, Miraplast implemented exactly these requirements.
The solution complements the existing Proxmox environment perfectly and enables a modern backup strategy based on intelligent deduplication. As a result, only data that has actually changed is transferred and stored – a decisive advantage as data volumes grow.
At the same time, integrated encryption combined with checksums provides a high level of data security. Central management creates transparency and noticeably simplifies day-to-day operations.

The introduction of the Managed Proxmox Backup Server was structured and did not disrupt ongoing operations.
Existing systems were integrated step by step and the backup jobs tuned specifically to the requirements of the environment. Thanks to close integration into the existing infrastructure, the solution went into productive use within a short time.
Result:
With the new backup solution, Miraplast has not only carried out a technical upgrade but achieved noticeable progress in its overall IT strategy.
Backups run considerably more efficiently today while requiring less storage. In an emergency, systems can be restored faster and more precisely – a decisive factor for operational reliability.
The change is noticeable in everyday work as well: IT gains transparency and control while administrative effort goes down. Backup thus turns from a necessary background process into a reliable and predictable part of the infrastructure.
