Website, domain and DNS from one provider
From now on we also run your website and register your domains. Web hosting starts at €3.75 per month, an .at domain costs €28 per year, for registration and renewal alike. DNS management is included with every domain, and everything sits in the same customer area as your cloud servers, backups and mailboxes.
Managed Webserver: web hosting we operate
The Managed Webserver comes in two models. With the Shared Webhost you share a web server with other customers, each in their own isolated environment with fixed limits for CPU and RAM – from €3.75 per month. With the Dedicated Webhost you get your own virtual web server with dedicated CPU cores and dedicated RAM, from €57.90 per month. The feature set is the same in both cases.
We run the server, operating system, web server, PHP and database. You take care of your website: content, plugins, themes and the updates of your application, which you start with one click. Included:
- Automatic SSL: every domain, subdomain and alias gets a Let’s Encrypt certificate that we issue and renew.
- Daily backups: files and databases every night to a separate backup server in Austria, 14 daily and 8 weekly versions. You restore or download them yourself.
- One-click WordPress: plus Joomla, TYPO3, Shopware and other applications, hardened and with cron and caching preconfigured.
- For developers: nginx or Apache with .htaccess, selectable per website; PHP 8.3 and 8.4, Node.js and Ruby on Rails; SSH with keys, Composer, Git, wp-cli and Git deploy on push.
- Monitoring: we check every website every two minutes and send you an email if one goes down.
What is not included, we say up front: mailboxes. Your websites send mail, for instance from contact forms, through our mail relay, up to 50 per day. For more, there is the E-Mail-Versand (email sending) add-on: up to 1,000 emails per day and your own credentials for WordPress and co., for €2.50 net per month. Mailboxes with calendars and contacts come with Managed Zimbra Hosting.
An example to check the maths: a WordPress company website with one CPU core, 2 GB RAM, 10 GB storage, one website and one database costs €5.20 net per month.
Domains and DNS
Under Domains & DNS you register domains in over 1,100 extensions, from .at, .co.at and .or.at through .wien to .de, .eu and .com. An .at domain costs €28 net per year. If you move an existing .at domain to us, the transfer is free; you only pay the renewal.
DNS management in the customer area comes with every domain at no extra cost. You maintain A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT, SRV and CAA records yourself. For automation there is an interface compatible with the PowerDNS API, with its own key per zone; it works unchanged with acme.sh, for example for Let’s Encrypt wildcard certificates. If the domain is with us, the Managed Webserver sets your website’s DNS record automatically.
If your domain should stay with your current provider, you can still use our DNS: DNS Hosting costs €1 net per month.
No introductory price, no lock-in
Many web hosting and domain offers advertise a cheap first year, after which the price goes up, often with a twelve-month minimum term. We have no such introductory price: you pay the regular price from the shop from the first month. Web hosting can be cancelled monthly and has no setup fee, and an .at domain currently costs the same at renewal as at registration. If you pay annually, the year costs eleven monthly prices instead of twelve.
Domain prices follow the purchase prices at the registry and our registrar partner. If they change their prices, we adjust ours – as stated on Domains & DNS too.
How to get started
You order web hosting and DNS Hosting in the shop, and you find domains in the domain search. If you move an existing website, test it first via the preview address and only then switch the DNS record. Our offers are aimed at businesses. We are happy to answer questions about the move personally via the contact form.
